Why these run in your browser
Most online converters upload your file to a server, convert it there, and hand back a download â which means your document sits on someone else's machine, however briefly. These tools use the browser's own image and file APIs instead. Nothing leaves your device, there is no queue, and no file size limit beyond your available memory.
