Every line is estimated from those two figures: its steel — or steel-equivalent — mass at the steel rate, stainless at 3.2×, plus its install days at the labour rate. There is no price feed behind this, so the two anchors are seeded from typical Pakistan figures as of September 2026 and are yours to correct. Type over any individual rate and yours is used instead.

Questions

Why three whiteners rather than one?

Because whitening in a single pass generates heat and breaks grain, and broken rice sells for a fraction of head rice. Taking the bran off in stages — abrasive then friction — costs more in machines and pays for itself in yield within a season.

How is the colour sorter sized?

By channels, roughly sixty-four for every tonne an hour on a single pass. A second pass on the reject stream recovers good grain and needs its own channels, so a plant chasing export grade will specify more than this default suggests.

What happens to the husk and bran?

Husk is about twenty-two percent of paddy and normally goes to the boiler as fuel, which is why husk handling is in the take-off. Bran is about eight percent and is either sold on or sent to a solvent extraction plant — there is a separate tool for that.

What is not included?

Parboiling, the dryer, the boiler and steam system, the building, and bulk storage beyond the paddy silos. A parboiling section changes the plant substantially and is a project of its own.
