Every line is estimated from those two figures: its steel — or steel-equivalent — mass at the steel rate, stainless at 3.2×, plus its install days at the labour rate. There is no price feed behind this, so the two anchors are seeded from typical Pakistan figures as of September 2026 and are yours to correct. Type over any individual rate and yours is used instead.

Questions

Why is there one more plate than chambers?

A chamber is the space between two plates, so a press with ten chambers has eleven plates. Ordering by chamber count and receiving that many plates leaves you one short.

What is the bulking factor for?

Cake takes up more room than the dry solids in it, because moisture stays between the particles after pressing. The take-off uses 1.4, which suits a typical pressed cake. A cake that dewaters unusually well takes less, one that holds water takes more.

How is filtration area calculated?

Both faces of every chamber, less about fifteen percent for the feed eye and the drainage ports, which are not filtering surface. That is the area a supplier will quote the press by.

What is not included?

Cloth washing, cake handling and conveyors, membrane squeeze if you need it, the air receiver, and the civil work and structure the press sits on. Cycle time depends on the cake's filtration resistance, which has to be measured rather than assumed.
