Feed mill machinery

Enter the capacity the mill runs at and how much of the output is pelleted. The list below is what that implies — intake, hammer mills, batching, mixer, pellet mill, cooler and bagging — with a rate column you fill in yourself.

How this works →

Your figures

Feed mills are rated per hour, not per day.

Two shifts is typical; the third is cleaning and changeover.

Mash needs no pellet mill. Set this to zero for a mash-only plant.

One per major raw material in the formulation.

Material take-off

What to buy, at what size, and how many — worked out from the figures above.

Rates

Every line is estimated from those two figures: its steel — or steel-equivalent — mass at the steel rate, stainless at 3.2×, plus its install days at the labour rate. There is no price feed behind this, so the two anchors are seeded from typical Pakistan figures as of September 2026 and are yours to correct. Type over any individual rate and yours is used instead.

Questions

Why is a feed mill rated per hour and not per day?
Because it runs to a shift pattern rather than continuously, and the rate is what the machinery has to deliver while it is running. Ten tonnes an hour over sixteen hours is a hundred and sixty tonnes a day, and the equipment is sized on the ten.
What happens if I set the pelleted share to zero?
The pellet mill, cooler and crumbler lines stay in the list at minimum size rather than disappearing, so you can see what you are not buying. For a mash-only plant, delete those three lines from your quotation.
How is mixing time decided?
By the coefficient of variation the formulation demands — under ten percent is normal, and a twin-shaft paddle mixer reaches it in well under three minutes. The take-off assumes twelve batches an hour, which is what that cycle allows with weighing and discharge.
What is not included?
The building, silos for bulk raw material beyond the ingredient bins, the boiler for the conditioner, molasses storage, the electrical substation and the laboratory. Extruded aqua feed is a different plant and not covered here.
